Meet The Instructor

Howard Karp is a dynamic speaker and trainer. He started Jersey Defensive Driving after a successful 30 year business career working for such companies as United Parcel Service, Nestle Foods, TIAA/CREF and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Howard has been involved in training and development since graduating with a Bachelor's degree on Communications from Queens College.

In 2009 Howard took his education pursuits to a new level by merging his love of motorcycling, and his training and organization skills and obtained his Motorcycle Safety Foundation RiderCoach certification. As an instructor for Fairleigh Dickinson University's - Motorcycle Education Program, he has helped students realize their dreams of motorcycling in a safe and responsible manner.

Now he brings his passion for education to the automobile driving community by offering an informative and comprehensive 6-hour Defensive Driving presentation that has been approved by the State of New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. Using a multi-media approach Howard’s presentation is engaging, effective and offers participants insurance premium discounts and reductions in driver’s license points.
